Professional verification
How we check therapists.
Before a therapist can be matched with you, our team reviews who they are and the credential they hold. Here is exactly what we check, and what it does not cover.
What we check
Five steps between an application and your matches
- 01
Proof of identity
Every applicant uploads a government ID, such as a CNIC, passport or driving licence. It confirms they are who they say they are. It is never shown to clients.
- 02
Professional credential
Every applicant uploads a practice licence from a recognised authority, or their latest degree in psychology, counselling or a related field. They can also enter a licence number.
- 03
A review by our team
A member of the Safe Healing team reviews the documents and the application, then approves it or turns it down. An application cannot be sent for review until both documents are uploaded.
- 04
Only approved profiles are shown
A therapist appears in matches and public listings only once their application is approved. Applications that are not approved stay hidden. The applicant is told and may apply again.
- 05
Profiles can be paused
If a concern is raised, our team can pause a profile. A paused therapist is removed from matches and listings while the concern is looked at.
Uploaded documents are stored privately. They are never shown to clients. Only the therapist and our review team can open them, through short-lived private links.

What an approved profile means
It means
- Our team has reviewed the identity document and the credential the therapist submitted, and approved the application.
- The therapist has agreed to work on Safe Healing and can be matched with clients.
It does not mean
- It is not an endorsement or registration by any government body, regulator or professional council.
- It is not a promise about results. Therapy helps many people, but no one can guarantee how it will go for you.
- Profile details such as years of experience, specialties, approaches and languages are written by the therapist. We do not show ratings or reviews.
- Therapists are independent professionals. They are responsible for their own clinical decisions, notes and conduct.
Something looks wrong
Report inaccurate information
If a therapist’s details look wrong, or you have a concern about a therapist’s conduct, please tell us. Email contact@safehealing.app or use the contact page. Include the therapist’s name and what you think is wrong. You do not need to share anything about your own sessions.
We aim to reply within 24 hours (Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 21:00 PKT (Sunday: limited support)). While a concern is looked at, our team can pause the profile so it does not appear in matches.
Keeping it current
How information is updated
Therapists keep their own profile up to date from their dashboard: their bio, fee, languages, availability and areas of focus. Changes to a profile come from the therapist, not from us.
When we change how we check therapists, we will update this page and the date below. This page was last updated on 28 October 2026.
