TermsLast updated · May 20, 2026

The agreement, in plain English.

These terms are the contract between you and Safe Healing when you use the platform. Safe Healing is a marketplace that connects you with independent, licensed psychologists. We are a facilitator, not your healthcare provider. The rules below explain what that means.

1. What Safe Healing is (and isn't)

Safe Healing operates an online marketplace at safehealing.app that helps adults in Pakistan discover, book, and communicate with independent, licensed psychologists and therapists, and pay for sessions through regulated payment providers.

Safe Healing is not a hospital, clinic, or healthcare provider. We do not employ the psychologists listed on the platform and we do not provide medical, psychiatric, or therapeutic treatment. Psychologists on the platform are independent licensed professionals who are solely responsible for their own clinical judgment, advice, sessions, records, and professional conduct.

When you book a session, the professional services contract is between you and the psychologist. Safe Healing's role is to facilitate discovery, booking, communication, and payment.

Safe Healing does not provide emergency services. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services immediately.

2. Eligibility

To create an account on Safe Healing you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older. Some services accommodate ages 16 and up with guardian involvement, subject to the independent psychologist's acceptance.
  • Be based in Pakistan, or be Pakistani and have arranged access in advance with our team.
  • Provide accurate information during signup and intake.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter this agreement.

3. Your account

One person per account. Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think it's been accessed by someone else, reset your password and email us.

4. Matching and booking

After you complete intake, our matching engine surfaces a shortlist of independent, licensed psychologists with a plain English reason for each suggestion. You choose one (or request another set) and book a session through the platform.

Matching is our best read of who might fit. It is not a guarantee of clinical outcome and does not constitute medical advice. Psychologists accept or decline bookings at their own discretion based on their professional judgment, availability, and scope of practice.

5. Payments and payment processors

Prices are shown before you confirm a booking. By confirming, you authorise Safe Healing (or our payment partner acting on our behalf) to charge the payment method on file.

Card and wallet payments are processed by a regulated third party payment provider. Full card details are entered directly on the processor's secure form. Safe Healing does not receive or store your complete card number, CVV, or banking PIN. The processor's own terms and privacy policy apply to its handling of your payment information.

Refunds, where applicable, are decided by Safe Healing in line with our Refund and Cancellation Policy and executed by the original payment processor.

6. Cancellations, reschedules and no-shows

You can cancel or reschedule a booked session free of charge up to 24 hours before the session starts. Cancellations inside that window, or no-shows, may be charged at the full session rate to respect the psychologist's reserved time.

If a psychologist cancels on you, or the platform is materially broken during your session, you can choose a free reschedule or a full refund. Full details are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

7. Service delivery and no physical shipping

All services offered through Safe Healing are digital and appointment based: online video sessions, secure in-app messaging, journaling, mood tracking, and self guided wellness tools. Nothing is physically shipped, so no shipping policy applies. Sessions are delivered at the scheduled time over Google Meet or, where explicitly arranged, by phone.

For the full list of services, see our Service Policy.

8. Your relationship with your psychologist

The psychologist you book with is an independent licensed professional bound by the ethics and confidentiality standards of their profession. The therapeutic relationship is between you and them. Safe Healing provides the space in which it happens. It is not a party to that relationship and does not direct or supervise the clinical work.

Clinical notes created by your psychologist form part of their independent professional record and are retained in line with Pakistan's professional practice norms, even after you leave the platform.

Any complaint about the clinical conduct of a psychologist can be raised with us and, where appropriate, with the relevant professional regulator.

9. No medical advice or guaranteed outcomes

Safe Healing itself does not provide medical, psychiatric, or clinical advice. The platform, including matching results, journal prompts, calm tools, and articles published in our journal, is informational and supportive only. It is not a substitute for direct, in-person care from a licensed professional who knows your situation.

Therapy is not a product with a guaranteed output. Progress depends on many factors, only some of which are within the psychologist's control. We do not promise a specific clinical outcome.

10. Acceptable use

When you use the platform, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse a psychologist or our staff.
  • Record sessions or messages without the other party's clear consent.
  • Share your account with anyone else, or pretend to be someone you aren't.
  • Use the platform for anything other than your own personal care.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or disrupt the security of our systems.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the platform.
  • Use the platform to commit fraud or any unlawful activity.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account. Serious breaches may be reported to the authorities.

11. Your content

You own what you write on Safe Healing: your journal entries, messages, intake answers, the works. By using the platform, you give us a narrow licence to store that content, show it back to you, and share it with your matched psychologist so the service can function. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account (subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy).

12. Our content

The platform, the Safe Healing name and logo, the journal articles we publish, and the software that makes the service run are ours. You can read, share, and link to our public writing. You can't copy it wholesale or build a competing product on top of it.

13. Availability

We aim for reliable service but don't guarantee specific uptime. We may need to take the platform down for planned maintenance, and we'll give notice when we can. Scheduled sessions that are disrupted by a platform outage are refunded or rebooked per the Refund Policy.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Safe Healing disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.

Because the psychologists on the platform are independent professionals, Safe Healing is not liable for their clinical advice, conduct, or outcomes. Our liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the amounts you have paid to Safe Healing for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any statutory consumer rights.

15. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or close your account if you materially breach these terms, if we're legally required to, or if keeping your account open would put another user at risk. We'll tell you why unless doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.

The sections that should survive closure, such as content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, do.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute that we can't sort out by talking will go to the courts of Lahore.

Before filing anything, email us. Most things can be resolved that way.

17. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a material way, we'll notify you in the app and by email, and give you a chance to review before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms. Small edits (typos, clarifications) will appear here with an updated date.

18. Contact

Questions, disputes, or anything in between: email contact@safehealing.app. A real person will read it. Full business details on our Contact page.
